Running 100 miles

How to run 100 miles is directed by Brendan Leonard. Jayson and Brendan ran 100 miles together and they helped each other. At the start of the movie Brendan said, “He does doesn’t like running but he likes challenges”. Brendan also said, “If Jayson is going to run 100 miles then I will”.  Jayson and Brendan were really good friends. Building up to the ultra marathon, and during the marathon they supported each other and they finished the marathon together.
       
                                                         
  The writer's purpose is to inspire people to never give up even when things are hard. What it’s like to run 100 miles and how much work you need to put in. Good friends can support each other and in the video lesson 1 was said, “It helps to have a friend along”. Never give up and always do your best but if you are struggling and finding things are hard then you should, “Never give up”.
                                 
         

The message I took from this video is never give up. I also learned friends can support you if you are struggling. This reminds me off my friend helping me in India when we had exams.Brendan said, “Training for a marathon is like training to do an exam at school” but for me I’d rather do exams at school not running 100 miles.

At the start of the movie I thought Jayson would finish the marathon because he liked running but I thought Brendan is going to have a hard time running the 100 miles marathon or he might give up in the middle of the marathon. At the end Jayson and Brendan finished the marathon together.  Brendan said in the video, “A friend is also your hero and sometimes you do what your friend does” At the end of the film I was inspired to run 100 miles but I won’t. I will not give up on anything just try my best. My goal is to be a computer specialist which will take me a long tie but I will not give up.

                                   

The character that impressed me the most is Jayson because Jayson was a good friend.  Jayson's life has been hard for him, for example his dad left them, I didn’t like it when the councillor said ,“College is not really for people like you,” because it’s hurting his feeling and being rude. Jayson never won any wrestling competition until after 2 years. When Jayson and Brendan ran the ultra marathon they never gave up they keep it on practising every week up until the marathon. Jayson's legs were sore while he was running but he finished the marathon. Jayson was emotional after finishing the marathon. I think I would win a match of football because I worked hard to be a good player. Jayson inspired me because he had hard time in his life but he never gave up. Sometimes I have hard time doing the work and feel like give up but then I remember what Jayson said to not give up.

Brendon and Jayson’s story of running a 100 miles reminded me of what my teacher, Mrs Gopperth told us about her story of also running a 100 miles with her friends. I think both stories are pretty much the same because Mrs. Gopperth also finished the whole marathon with her friends just like how Brendon and Jayson did it together. The thing I have learned from both stories is your family and your friends help you. Brendan and Jayson never gave up in the marathon even though they were thinking about they were not going to finish the marathon. In the film one of Brendon was, “It helps to have a friend along”. If Jayson, Brendon and Mrs Gopperth didn’t have friends to help and support them they wouldn’t finish the marathon. I liked at the end of the marathon they thanked their friends and family for the support.

  Football

                      

Football is my favorite sport 

I play for a club but after a few months 

My family  moved into a new house so I had to move

Into a new football team with some of my friends from my old football team.

I will miss my old football team and all the memories I had.

Every time I watch football it reminds me of my old football team 

How much fun I had with them.

I like playing football 

And I like watching others playing football.

Football is not a solitary sport. 

You can’t play football without the team 

You need at least seven players to start the match with.

There is a circle of friends on my team 

That hangs out all the time and do things together

But I do not belong in that circle but I enjoy my other friends.

I am aware of my strengths are dribbling, passing and shooting

And my weaknesses is defending.

I don’t care what other people think about me 

I have self-acceptance.

My pulse beats fast when I am running

Around the football pitch with the ball.

After the football game my legs are hurting so bad 

I want to go to sleep I am so tired

Time to go home now.

THE MOVIE IS BETTER THEN THE BOOK

This is my video about If I liked the movie or the book and give reasons why we choose book or the movie. 

The character that was my favourite was Fi because she changed a lot in the book and the movie. I think she as changed from rich girl to farm girl. 

This is my Kahoot but I am not allowed to publish it because I am 15 years old ad you have to be 16+ to publish it . All the hard work we did putting the questions together and now we can't play it.

I chose this book because I like reading picture book but I don't read I look at the pictures. I liked the cover because it look like fighting book and I like to read fighting book. To be honest I don't like reading I am reading because Mrs Gopperth said to read a book.

I like reading fighting books, shooting books and sports books.
The story so far is about Forge fixing Cable and Nate's dad set the whole world on fire.
In my story the characters I have met are Forge, Cable, Nate and Alex.
My impression on my book is interesting and I will read it to the end.
I predict that Cable will kill Forge.
The part in the book I am up to is Cable's daughter find him.

So far my favourite character is Cable because he is every where in the book.


I started a new book and the book is called is super cool chemical reaction activities. I learn't some new things from this book that I didn't know about it. I liked this book because in this book someone tells us some new experiment.

Mairehau high school market

On 29th November we had a school market day and my friend and I made Indian food. We made pakora and pani puri and we made a profit of $60. It as hard to make the stuff because I had to make them with one hand. On the day our teacher forgot to bring the plastic plates then we had to go after school and buy the plastic plates. Pani puri was a little bit spicy and pakora was spicy but not that spicy. I felt really good when we sold pani puri and pakaro because it was good to see people trying Indian food. What I liked about market day was there was lots of people and lots of different things that other students had made. I bought some popcorn because we were hungry.

The one main idea about cyberbulling is sending mean messages.

This means that people are sending mean messages to other people.

We watched a video in SoS and people are sending mean  messages.

The reason for this is people are mean and they get their anger on somebody else.

Some people are cyberbulling other on social media like Facebook.

This is because people are sending emails to  other people and the other people are accepting the emails.

One person is sending a email to someone then the other person  accepted the emails and then the other person cyberbully's him.

I found learning challenging because it was hard to find out the information. Next time I would like to try about Piktochart because I know some things about Piktochart. One thing that I worked well was to help other people and do my blogger.

KORFBALL

In PE we have been learning about KORFBALL. We have been learning this so that we can play korfball and learn new games. Something that challenged me in this subject was shooting. To continue my learning, I would like to learn about korfball rules and I will learn than by Google or a teacher.

The hard thing about korfball is to learn how to play and the easy thing about korfball is you can do team work and pass the ball around the team. I learned korfball in my school and it took lots of time to learn about korfball. Our teacher taught us how to play korfball, she taught us how to shoot first, then made our team, then taught us the rules and then we played the game. The big challenge was to do some writing instead of playing korfball. The interesting part is when you get a penalty and you get a chance to score. The thing I would like to know more about is why when a team scores they then switch sides like one team is attacking then if they score they go on defence.

I decided I was ignorant about plane crash. I learned to use the tool Piktochart to make a chart, insert images, write a text, put your background and how to put your poster into your drive.

I was surprised with the answers to my questions, because I found lots of information about my topic. Finding answers to my question was really hard because I had to go to the different websites and look for the information. I found Piktochart easy to use, because I knew lots of things about Piktochart. If I was going to use Piktochart again, I would because its really easy.
